CHORAS
Community Hub for Open-Source Room Acoustics Software.
CHORAS is a free, web-based platform for running and comparing room acoustics simulations. Designed for acoustic consultants, researchers, and engineers, it brings together multiple simulation methods in one intuitive interface, so you can focus on results rather than tooling.
Run simulations in your browser
Upload a 3D room geometry, place sources and receivers, assign wall materials, and launch a simulation — all from your browser. Results include standard acoustic parameters (EDT, T₂₀, T₃₀, C₈₀, D₅₀, SPL) and can be exported to .xlsx or .csv.
Compare methods side by side
CHORAS currently supports three physics-based simulation methods with a unified pre- and postprocessing pipeline that makes comparing their results straightforward.
Listen to your room
The built-in auralization feature lets you convolve the simulated impulse response with any audio file, so you can hear what your room sounds like.
Built for the community
CHORAS is open source and designed so that any researcher or developer can add their own simulation back-end. The repository is available on GitHub with contribution guidelines.
